The most exciting game was a derby match between two local teams from Minsk: Minsk-2006 (#2) and Minsk-2006 II (#5). Minsk-2006 II was crushed at home by 53 points 62-115 and even the advantage of their own court did not help. The game without a history. Minsk-2006 led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 72 of its points in the paint compared to Minsk-2006 II's 46. They also forced 32 Minsk-2006 II turnovers and outrebounded them 42-25 including 28 on the defensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists comparing to just 7 passes made by Minsk-2006 II's players. American forward Justin Knox (205-89, college: N.Carolina) stepped up and scored 26 points and 6 rebounds for the winners and guard Rostislav Vergun (198-82, college: Birm.Southern) chipped in 19 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. Knox is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Four Minsk-2006 players scored in double figures. At the losing side Lithuanian forward Ronaldas Rutkauskas (203-92) responded with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 10 rebounds and guard Valentin Ignatchik (192) scored 10 points. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Defending champion maintains second place with 11-1 record behind leader Grodno-93. Minsk-2006 II lost fourth consecutive game. Newly promoted team keeps the fifth position with nine games lost. They share it with SBK Osipovichi. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
