Another interesting game was a derby match between two teams from Doha: Al Arabi (#3) and Al Ahli (#6). Al Arabi (3-1) won against visiting Al Ahli (1-3) 79-71. Worth to mention a great performance of American-Sierra Leonean guard Abdulai Jalloh (188-86, college: JMU) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 27 points, 13 rebounds and 8 assists and American-Nigerian forward Alvin Mofunanya (203-87, college: Fair Dickinson, agency: Dream Team Management) who added 21 points and 13 rebounds during the contest. Four Al Arabi players scored in double figures. At the losing side American guard Cameron Crisp (192-81, college: Tenn Tech) responded with 36 points (!!!) and Nigerian center Augustine Okosun (210-86, college: Northwood Fl.) produced a double-double by scoring 19 points, 17 rebounds and 4 blocks. Al Arabi moved-up to second place, which they share with As Sadd and Al Gharrafah. Al Ahli at the other side keeps the sixth position with three games lost. Al Arabi's supporters look forward to another derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Doha to the arena As Sadd.
