Regular Season Round 4: Al Wakrah - Al Sadd 63-93

Bottom-ranked Al Wakrah is still unable to win any game. But it was rather predictable considering how strong their opponent was. This time they could not use their home court advantage losing their fourth consecutive match to fourth ranked As Sadd (3-1) 93-63. It was a great shooting night for As Sadd especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 57.9 percentage. International swingman Khalid Suliman (198-87) fired a double-double by scoring 33 points (!!!), 10 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners. Dibril Abdulla chipped in a double-double by scoring 19 points and 13 rebounds. Five As Sadd players scored in double figures. International center Mame Souleye (206-87) produced a double-double by scoring 16 points and 13 rebounds and American guard Darren Kelly (195-78, college: Texas) added 15 points and 5 rebounds respectively for lost side. As Sadd moved-up to second place, which they share with Al Gharrafah and Al Arabi. Al Wakrah at the other side still closes the standings with four games lost. As Sadd's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Doha Al Arabi.
