The game between closely ranked teams ended with sixth ranked Svit's (12-12) home victory over 7th ranked Levice (11-14) 94-71 on Wednesday. The game was mostly controlled by Svit. Levice was better in third quarter 20-18. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They made 19-of-25 free shots (76.0 percent) during the game. Svit looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. Levice was plagued by 26 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a very good performance for Croatian guard Petar Cosic (186-85, agency: Interperformances) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 21 points, 5 rebounds and 10 assists. American forward Johndre Jefferson (207-88, college: S.Carolina) contributed with 17 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. Five Svit players scored in double figures. American guard Kevin Bridgewaters (175-84, college: Chattanooga) replied with 21 points and 6 rebounds and international forward Richard Urland (195-84) added 15 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for Levice. Svit maintains sixth position with 12-12 record. Newly promoted Levice keeps the seventh place with 14 games lost. Svit will face higher ranked Nova Ves (#5) on the road in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Levice will play against the league's second-placed Prievidza.
