An exciting game was played in Galil. First ranked Israeli Galil Gilboa faced their biggest opponent Montenegrin Mornar Bar. Host Galil Gilboa (6-1) smashed guests from Bar (4-3) 92-67. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Mornar Bar. The game without a history. Galil Gilboa led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 64 of its points in the paint compared to Mornar Bar's 28. They outrebounded Mornar Bar 35-23 including a 31-15 advantage in defensive rebounds. Galil Gilboa looked well-organized offensively handing out 29 assists comparing to just 12 passes made by Mornar Bar's players. It was a great evening for American Romeo Travis (200-84, college: Akron) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 22 points and 10 rebounds (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field). His fellow American import power forward Joseph Jones (204-86, college: Texas A&M) helped adding 19 points and 5 rebounds (on 8-of-9 shooting from the field). Four Galil Gilboa players scored in double figures. At the losing side Jamaican-American point guard Akeem Scott (186-83, college: High Point, agency: Interperformances) responded with 22 points and Serbian forward Lazar Radosavljevic (204-91, agency: Beo Basket) scored 15 points and 5 rebounds. Galil Gilboa maintains first place in Group A with 6-1 record. Loser Mornar Bar keeps the second position with three games lost. They share it with Rilski Sportist. Galil Gilboa will meet OKK Beograd (#5) on the road in the next round. Mornar Bar will play against the league's second-placed Rilski Sportist in Samokov and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
