Regular Season Round 14: Elitzur Netanya - Hap.Petah Tikva 91-81

An interesting game took place in Netanya where higher ranked Hap.Petah Tikva (5-7) was upset on the court of tenth ranked Elitzur Netanya (4-9) 91-81 on Thursday. The game was mostly controlled by Elitzur Netanya. Hap.Petah Tikva managed to win third quarter 29-16. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Elitzur Netanya made 21-of-22 free shots (95.5 percent) during the game. Americans were the main players on the court also this time. The best player for the winners was center Jessica Lawson (191-86, college: S.Florida) who had a double-double by scoring 24 points and 15 rebounds. Forward Ambrosia Anderson (186-84, college: BYU) chipped in 20 points. Forward Kaili McLaren (188-88, college: Connecticut) produced a double-double by scoring 25 points and 13 rebounds and swingman Sheri Lynette Sam (183-74, college: Vanderbilt) added 20 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists respectively for the guests. Five Elitzur Netanya and four Hap.Petah Tikva players scored in double figures. Elitzur Netanya moved-up to ninth place. Hap.Petah Tikva lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the sixth position with seven games lost. Elitzur Netanya will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Hap.Petah Tikva will play against the league's leader Maccabi Ashdod (#1) and will have a slim chance for a victory.
