CIS top team - Ravens (16-0) had no problems winning another game on Friday. This time they crushed sixth ranked Lions (3-13) in Ottawa, ON 90-48. The game without a history. Ravens led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 44 of its points in the paint compared to Lions' 22 and made 19-of-24 free shots (79.2 percent) during the game. Guard Willy Manigat (180) scored 18 points to lead the charge for the winners and forward Kevin Churchill (198) chipped in 16 points and 6 rebounds during the contest (made all of his eight free throws). Four Ravens players scored in double figures. At the losing side forward Justin Bell (198) responded with 10 points and Matthew Ziobrowski scored 7 points. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Ravens have an impressive 16-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 16-0 record. Loser Lions keep the sixth place with 13 games lost. Ravens will face Voyageurs (#3) in Sudbury, ON in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Lions will play on the road against the league's second-placed Gee-Gees in Ottawa, ON.
