The most interesting game was a derby match between two local teams from Minsk: Minsk-2006 (#2) and BGUIR-RTI (#4). Minsk-2006 (12-1) smashed visiting BGUIR-RTI (5-9) by 44 points 108-64. The hosts trailed by 3 points after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 10-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 108-64. Minsk-2006 dominated down low during the game scoring 74 of its points in the paint compared to BGUIR-RTI's 32 and made 19-of-25 free shots (76.0 percent) during the game. Minsk-2006 forced 26 BGUIR-RTI turnovers. The former international forward Aliaksei Lashkevich (204-78) scored 19 points and 7 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and American forward Justin Hawkins (201-85, college: N.Mexico St.) chipped in 22 points during the contest. Forward Aliaksandr Kuzmitski (198-92) responded with 14 points and 5 rebounds and forward Evgeniy Sugoniako (198-92) scored 14 points and 5 rebounds. Four BGUIR-RTI players scored in double figures. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Defending champion maintains second position with 12-1 record behind leader Grodno-93. BGUIR-RTI at the other side keeps the fourth place with nine games lost. They share the position with SBK Osipovichi. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
