The game in Tochigi was also quite interesting. Fourth ranked Panasonic Trians (15-11) played at the court of 5th ranked Tochigi Brex (12-14). Panasonic Trians managed to secure a 8-point victory 91-83 on Saturday. The guests were tied at the half but managed to speed up in last two quarters eventually winning the game. Panasonic Trians made 28-of-36 free shots (77.8 percent) during the game. International swingman Kosuke Kanamaru (193-89) fired 26 points and 5 rebounds (made all of his ten free throws !!!) for the winners. American forward Charles O'Bannon (198-75, college: UCLA) chipped in 19 points and 9 rebounds. Four Panasonic Trians players scored in double figures. Panasonic Trians' coach used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. International guard Takuya Kawamura (193-86) produced 19 points and 6 assists and American forward Ivan McFarlin (203-82, college: Oklahoma St.) added 14 points and 6 rebounds (perfect from the field making all six shots) respectively for lost side. Panasonic Trians have a solid series of four victories in a row. They moved-up to third place, which they share with Hitachi SR. Loser Tochigi Brex keeps the fifth position with 14 games lost. Panasonic Trians will meet Hokkaido L. (#6) in the next round. Tochigi Brex will play against Toshiba Thunders in Kanagawa and hope to secure a win.
