Regular Season Round 23: Carleton - Laurentian 109-74

Date: January 28, 2012
Rather predictable result in Ottawa, ON where leader Ravens (17-0) outscored 3rd placed Voyageurs (8-9) 109-74 on Saturday. The game without a history. Ravens led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They shot 61.9 percent from the field. Ravens shot the lights out from three sinking 16 long-distance shots on high 55.2 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists comparing to just 12 passes made by Voyageurs' players. The best player for the winners was guard Willy Manigat (180) who scored 22 points and 4 assists. Forward Kevin Churchill (198) chipped in 18 points (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field). Four Ravens players scored in double figures. Alex Ratte produced 32 points and 4 assists and Shavaan Sheldon added 8 points and 5 rebounds respectively for the guests. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Ravens have an impressive series of seventeen victories in a row. They maintain first place with 17-0 record. Loser Voyageurs dropped to the fourth position with nine games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
