There was a small surprise in Piekary where thirteenth ranked Pulaski Warka (4-12) edged 10th ranked UKS Siemaszka (6-10) 71-68 on Saturday. UKS Siemaszka trailed by 14 points after 3 quarters before a 23-12 run in the last quarter cut the deficit to 68-71 at the end of the game. Pulaski Warka dominated down low during the game scoring 46 of its points in the paint compared to UKS Siemaszka's 24. Pulaski Warka forced 21 UKS Siemaszka turnovers. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Pulaski Warka made 15 blocks. The best player for the winners was guard Rafal Sobilo (188-89) who scored 25 points and 7 steals. Guard Pawel Adamczyk (186-84) chipped in 14 points, 8 rebounds, 8 assists and 4 steals. Guard Lukasz Kasperzec (187-74) produced 27 points, 8 rebounds and 5 blocks and swingman Lukasz Durbas (192-84) added 12 points and 5 rebounds respectively for the hosts. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Pulaski Warka moved-up to twelfth place in Group C. UKS Siemaszka lost their fifth game in a row. UKS Siemaszka at the other side, also newcomer in the league, keeps the tenth position with ten games lost. Pulaski Warka will face higher ranked Handlopex AZS (#3) in Rzeszow in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
