Important game to mention about took place in Athens. Thirteenth ranked Amyntas Dafnis (7-9) saved a 2-point victory at home edging higher ranked Lavrio (9-7) 79-77 on Saturday evening. Lavrio was tied after three quarters but could not keep up in the last quarter eventually losing the game. Lavrio was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. Guard Leonidas Zoupas (182-82) fired 19 points and 4 assists for the winners. Guard Kostas Vardavas (193-81) chipped in 15 points and 5 rebounds. Amyntas Dafnis' coach used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. Forward Giannis Kakiouzis (205-78) produced a double-double by scoring 31 points and 12 rebounds and forward Nikos Psileas (200-80) added 27 points and 5 rebounds respectively for lost side. Amyntas Dafnis moved-up to twelfth place. Loser Lavrio keeps the fifth position with seven games lost. Amyntas Dafnis will face higher ranked Doxa Lefkadas (#7) on the road in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Lavrio will play against Nea Kifisia in Athens.
