Undefeated Stingers (8-1) recorded its first loss in Montreal, QC on Saturday night. Visitors were defeated by second ranked Redmen (6-4) 73-67. It ended at the same time the eight-game winning streak of Stingers. It may be a crucial game in the contest for the top position in the league. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Stingers won third quarter 21-19. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The best player for the winners was Vincent Dufort who scored 16 points and 6 rebounds. Bermudas Tejour Riley (-94) chipped in 9 points and 6 rebounds. Guard Decee Krah (180) produced 17 points and 4 steals and international point guard Kyle Desmarais (188-87, college: Cent.Conn.St.) added 13 points and 7 rebounds respectively for the guests. Stingers' coach rotated eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Redmen maintains second place with 6-4 record having eighteen points less than leader UBC. Stingers at the other side still keep top position with one game lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
