Another exciting game was again a derby match of two teams from Doha: Al Jaysh (#5) and Al Gharrafah (#2). Al Gharrafah was crushed at home by 20 points 57-77 and even the advantage of their own court did not help. Al Jaysh forced 22 Al Gharrafah turnovers. International power forward Ali Turki (201-82) orchestrated the victory by scoring 19 points and 5 rebounds. Senegalese power forward Babacar Marone (206-83, agency: Court Side) contributed with 15 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Four Al Jaysh players scored in double figures. A Abussar answered with 8 points and 12 rebounds and international swingman Ousseynou N'Diaye (196-85, agency: Court Side) added 18 points in the effort for Al Gharrafah. Al Jaysh (3-2) moved-up to third place, which they share with Al Gharrafah and Al Arabi. Al Jaysh's supporters look forward to another derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Doha Al Rayyan.
