Eighth-ranked Optima Gent (5-11) used its home court advantage to challenge second ranked Okapi Aalstar (10-5) on Saturday. The visitors from Aalst managed to secure only two-point victory 67-65. However their fans expected much easier game. Optima Gent was trailing by 5 points at halftime but managed to get 1-point lead after three quarters before a 26-23 charge of Okapi Aalstar, which allowed them to win the game. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Optima Gent to just 6 points in second quarter. 25 personal fouls committed by Optima Gent helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities.
