Regular Season Round 18: St Quentin - Souffel 73-66

An interesting game for Saint-Quentin (14-4) which hosted in Saint-Quentin 3rd ranked Souffelweyersheim (12-6). Second ranked Saint-Quentin managed to get a 7-point victory 73-66. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Souffelweyersheim. Souffelweyersheim was ahead by 5 points after three quarters before a 26-14 charge of Saint-Quentin, which allowed them to win the game. They also forced 26 Souffelweyersheim turnovers. Forward Julien Lesieu (199-83) had a double-double by scoring 17 points and 13 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and naturalized American guard Jimmal Ball (178-78, college: Akron, agency: ACMT) chipped in 15 points during the contest. The best for the losing side was Senegalese power forward Abdoulaye N'Diaye (210-84, college: USC) with 11 points and 9 rebounds and guard Jeremy Tschamber (192-84) scored 16 points. Four Souffelweyersheim players scored in double figures. Saint-Quentin have a solid four-game winning streak. They used an opportunity after Charleville lost their game and moved up joining them at the top position. Souffelweyersheim at the other side keeps the third place with six games lost. They share the position with Blois and Orchy. Saint-Quentin will play against Le Puy ASMB (#16) in Le Puy en Velay in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Souffelweyersheim will play at home against Blois (#3) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
