Very predictable result when second ranked Perfumerias Avenida (14-2) won against on the road 9th ranked Arranz-Jopisa Burgos (4-12) 69-56. It looked good early as Arranz-Jopisa Burgos took an 12-point lead at the end of first quarter. But then Perfumerias Avenida took control and eventually winning the game that evening by 13 points. Worth to mention a great performance of Brazilian center Erika De Souza (197-82, agency: Josep and Nicolas) who helped to win the game recording 19 points and 9 rebounds and American guard DeWanna Bonner (193-87, college: Auburn, agency: Josep and Nicolas) who added 19 points and 9 rebounds during the contest. Perfumerias Avenida's coach Lucas Mondelo allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. At the losing side American forward Rachel Allison (185-87, college: Baylor) responded with 18 points and 7 rebounds and Chilean center Ziomara Morrison (193-89) scored 11 points and 8 rebounds. Perfumerias Avenida maintains second position with 14-2 record having just -10 point less than leader Ros Casares. Arranz-Jopisa Burgos lost sixth consecutive game. Newly promoted team dropped to the tenth place with 12 games lost. They share the position with Hondar.-Irun and Real C.Vigo. Perfumerias Avenida will play against Hondarribia-Irun (#11) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Arranz-Jopisa Burgos will play against Navarra Pamplona and hopes to get back on the winning track.
