LF2 top team - Ros Casares (16-0) had no problems winning another game on Saturday. This time they crushed fourteenth ranked Ibiza (2-14) 88-42. The game was mostly controlled by Ros Casares. Ibiza managed to win fourth quarter 17-16. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Ibiza to just 5 points in first quarter. Ros Casares dominated down low during the game scoring 70 of its points in the paint compared to Ibiza's 28. They outrebounded Ibiza 36-21 including a 31-16 advantage in defensive rebounds. Ros Casares looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists comparing to just 6 passes made by Ibiza's players. Worth to mention a great performance of international center Sancho Lyttle (192-83, college: Houston) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 16 points and 10 rebounds (on 8-of-9 shooting from the field). Belgian center Ann Wauters (194-80, agency: Josep and Nicolas) contributed with 17 points for the winners. Five Ros Casares players scored in double figures. Ros Casares' coach Roberto Iniguez felt very confident using 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The former international center Aina Denti (195-85) replied with 15 points and the former international swingman Silvia Morales (170-79) added 12 points and 4 steals in the effort for Ibiza. Ros Casares have an impressive 16-game winning streak. Defending champion maintains first position with 16-0 record. Ibiza at the other side stay at the bottom place with 14 games lost. Ros Casares are looking forward to face Mann Filter (#3) in Zaragoza in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Ibiza will play on the road against Cadi la Seu (#8) in Seu D'urgell and is hoping to prove to their fans that the loss was just an accident.
