Everything went according to plan when third ranked T. La Spezia (12-3) beat on the road 13th ranked Viterbo (2-14) 65-50 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by T. La Spezia. Viterbo was better in second period 16-15. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Viterbo to just 7 points in fourth quarter. T. La Spezia dominated down low during the game scoring 44 of its points in the paint compared to Viterbo's 24. T. La Spezia forced 30 Viterbo turnovers. La Spezia have an impressive five-game winning streak. They maintain third position in South with 12-3 record having just three points less than leader Bologna, which they share with Chieti. Viterbo lost eighth consecutive game. They keep the thirteenth place with 14 games lost. T. La Spezia will face Napoli BK Women (#7) at home in the next round.
