Not a big story in a game when 13th ranked LKS Sphinx (3-20) was outscored by ninth ranked Siarka Jezioro (10-12) in Tarnobrzeg 105-76 on Saturday. The game without a history. Siarka Jezioro led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. It was a good game for American guard LaMarshall Corbett (190-88, college: Angelo St., agency: Hart Sports Mngm) who led his team to a victory with 23 points and 4 assists. The other American import guard J.T. Tiller (191-88, college: Missouri, agency: Hart Sports Mngm) contributed with 19 points and 5 rebounds (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field) for the winners. Four Siarka Jezioro players scored in double figures. Guard Michal Michalak (194-93) replied with 31 points and center Krzysztof Sulima (202-90) added 10 points and 11 rebounds in the effort for LKS Sphinx. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Siarka Jezioro moved-up to eighth place, which they share with AZS Koszalin. LKS Sphinx lost twelfth consecutive game. Newly promoted team stay dead last with 20 lost games. Siarka Jezioro will face higher ranked Anwil (#3) in Wloclawek in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. LKS Sphinx will play at home against AZS Politechnika Warszawska (#12) in Warszawa and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
