Regular Season Round 21: UPEI - Memorial 58-61

Eighth-ranked UPEI (2-12) gave a tough game to fourth ranked Memorial (8-6) in Charlottetown on Saturday. The visitors from St. John's managed to secure only three-point victory 61-58. However their fans expected much easier game. The guests trailed by 5 points after three quarters before their 16-8 charge, which allowed them to win the game. The best player for the winners was forward Ally Forsey (191-90) who had a double-double by scoring 11 points and 14 rebounds. Forward Robyn O'Rielly (178) chipped in 17 points and 9 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was center Katie Moore (183-89) who recorded 14 points and 7 rebounds and forward Terrilyn Herrick (182) added 13 points and 8 rebounds respectively. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. Memorial maintains fourth place with 8-6 record. UPEI lost their fourth game in a row. They keep the eighth position with 12 games lost. They share it with UBC Okanagan. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
