Very expected game when bottom-ranked RMC (0-16) was crushed on the road by third ranked Toronto (12-5) 87-39 on Saturday. The game without a history. Toronto led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated on the defensive end, holding RMC to just 7 points in second quarter. Toronto dominated down low during the game scoring 46 of its points in the paint compared to RMC's 22. Toronto forced 39 RMC turnovers. Guard Jill Stratton (178) stepped up and scored 19 points for the winners and swingman Liane Bailey (180) chipped in 14 points and 6 rebounds. Five Toronto players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was forward Sandy Edmison (183) with 11 points and 7 rebounds and guard Samantha Bayne (180) scored 5 points and 8 rebounds. RMC's coach James Bambury gave up on the game allowing to play ten players seeing no chance for a win. The victory was the fifth consecutive win for Toronto. They moved-up to second place, which they share with Carleton. RMC lost their sixteenth game in a row. They still closes the standings with 16 games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
