No shocking result in a game when first ranked Windsor (15-2) outleveled at home 5th ranked Lakehead (7-9) 77-42 on Saturday. The game without a history. Windsor led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Lakehead to just 6 points in second and third quarters. Windsor forced 20 Lakehead turnovers and outrebounded them 49-21 including a 17-4 advantage in offensive rebounds. French forward Jessica Clemencon (188-89) stepped up and scored 8 points and 13 rebounds for the winners and guard Laura Mullins (178-89) chipped in 18 points. The best for the losing side was forward Lacey McNulty (188-87, college: Toledo) with 11 points and forward Lindsay Druery (185-88) scored 8 points and 5 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. The victory was the eleventh consecutive win for Windsor. They maintain first place with 15-2 record, which they share with Ottawa. Lakehead lost their fourth game in a row. They keep the fifth position with nine games lost. Windsor will face league's second-placed Laurier in Waterloo in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week.
