The game in Anjo was also quite interesting. Third ranked Denso Iris (18-8) played at the court of 8th ranked Aishin Wings (2-24). Denso Iris defeated Aishin Wings 74-63 on Sunday. The game was mostly controlled by Denso Iris. Aishin Wings managed to win fourth quarter 20-15. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They outrebounded Aishin Wings 41-29 including 18 on the offensive glass. Denso Iris looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists comparing to just 7 passes made by Aishin Wings' players. The best player for the winners was international center Maki Takada (183-89) who had a double-double by scoring 28 points and 10 rebounds. The former international guard Akiko Obata (165-81) chipped in 6 points, 5 rebounds, 12 assists and 4 steals. Guard Hitomi Takasaki (168-86) produced 17 points and power forward Shiyu Sato (178-87) added 11 points and 7 rebounds respectively for the hosts. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Denso Iris have an impressive six-game winning streak. They maintain third position with 18-8 record having four points less than leader JX Sunflowers. Aishin Wings lost ninth consecutive game. They stay dead last with 24 lost games.
