Rather predictable result when sixth ranked Shimane Magic (17-11) defeated on the road 9th ranked Saitama Broncos (7-18) 71-67 on Sunday. The guests started the game with a very strong first quarter 25-16. But Saitama Broncos won second period 21-16. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Americans were the main players on the court also this time. Worth to mention a great performance of forward Michael Parker (202-81, college: Evergreen St.) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 29 points and 12 rebounds and forward Reggie Golson (201-81, college: SE Missouri St., agency: Court Side) who added 16 points, 11 rebounds, 6 assists and 5 steals during the contest. Forward John Flowers (200-89, college: W.Virginia, agency: KMG Sports Management) responded with a double-double by scoring 21 points, 13 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals and swingman John Humphrey (188-80, college: Middle Tenn.St., agency: Court Side) scored 16 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists. Shimane Magic have a solid four-game winning streak. They moved-up to second place, which they share with Akita NH. Saitama Broncos lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the ninth position with 18 games lost. Shimane Magic will face league's leader Hamamatsu Phoenix in Mikawa in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Saitama Broncos will play on the road against Chiba Jets (#7) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
