Regular Season Round 23: Dalhousie - St.Francis X. 79-68

Date: January 29, 2012
Very important is a road loss of second ranked X-Men (9-3) against sixth ranked Tigers (6-7) on Sunday night. Visiting X-Men was defeated by Tigers in Halifax, NS 79-68. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of X-Men. The hosts trailed by 2 points after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 5-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 79-68. Tigers outrebounded X-Men 40-28 including a 21-9 advantage in offensive rebounds. The best player for the winners was Bahamas forward Robert Nortmann (198) who had a double-double by scoring 21 points and 14 rebounds. Cameroonian forward William Yengue (193) chipped in 17 points and 7 rebounds. Guard Terry Thomas (193) produced 17 points and guard Will Donkoh (185) added 13 points respectively for the guests. X-Men's coach gave the chance to play for ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Tigers moved-up to fifth place, which they share with St.Mary's. Loser X-Men keeps the second position with three games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
