It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Dexia Mons-Hainaut. Dexia Mons-Hainaut was ahead by 1 point at the halftime before a 23-19 third quarter run of Leuven Bears. Samoan-American power forward John Tofi (203-84, college: UTEP) stepped up and scored 16 points and 6 rebounds for the winners and American forward Jamel McLean (203-88, college: Xavier) chipped in 14 points and 9 rebounds. American forward Justin Cage (198-85, college: Xavier, agency: Priority Sports) responded with 16 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists and the other American import guard A.J. Slaughter (191-87, college: W.Kentucky) scored 13 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists. Five Leuven Bears and four Dexia Mons-Hainaut players scored in double figures. Leuven Bears moved-up to fifth place. Dexia Mons-Hainaut at the other side dropped to the sixth position with seven games lost. Leuven Bears will play against bottom-ranked VOO Verviers-Pepinster (#9) on the road in the next round. Dexia Mons-Hainaut will play against Antwerp Giants and hopes to get back on the winning track.
