Regular Season Round 32: Fukuoka Rizing - Osaka Evessa 82-78

Very important is a road loss of second ranked Osaka Evessa (18-8) against fifth ranked Fukuoka Rizing (18-10) on Sunday night. Visiting Osaka Evessa was defeated by Fukuoka Rizing in a tough game in Fukuoka 78-82. Osaka Evessa was tied at the half but could not keep up in last two quarters eventually losing the game. Americans were the main players on the court. Swingman Kevin Palmer (198-87, college: Texas A&M-CC, agency: VVG Sports) orchestrated the victory by scoring 17 points and 9 rebounds. Power forward Jermaine Dearman (202-80, college: S.Illinois) contributed with 18 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. Center Wayne Marshall (211-86, college: Temple) replied with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 14 rebounds and forward Lynn Washington (200-78, college: Indiana) added 23 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for Osaka Evessa. Five Fukuoka Rizing and four Osaka Evessa players scored in double figures. Fukuoka Rizing moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Shiga L-Stars. Osaka Evessa at the other side dropped to the third position with eight games lost. Fukuoka Rizing's next round opponent will be league's second-placed Kyoto Hannar. on the road and it may be the game of the week. Osaka Evessa will play against Shiga L-Stars and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
