Regular Season Round 32: Miyazaki SS - Shiga L-Stars 68-67

The most exciting game of round 32 in the BJ League took place in Miyazaki. This derby game ended with only one-point defeat on the road of 4th ranked Shiga L-Stars (18-10) to seventh ranked Miyazaki Shining Suns (13-17) 68-67 on Sunday evening. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Shiga L-Stars. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Shiga L-Stars won third quarter 21-14. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The game was decided in the last minutes when Miyazaki Shining Suns won last quarter 14-15. Strangely Shiga L-Stars outrebounded Miyazaki Shining Suns 48-32 including 17 on the offensive glass. Worth to mention a great performance of American forward O'Neal Mims (208-83, college: Angelo St.) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 18 points and 12 rebounds and the other American import swingman Dexter Lyons (198-81, college: Cent.Florida, agency: I.D.S. Law) who added 16 points during the contest. American forward Ray Nixon (203-84, college: Wisconsin) responded with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 13 rebounds and Panamanian forward Dionisio Gomez Camargo (203-80, college: Arkansas) scored 12 points and 9 rebounds. Miyazaki Shining Suns maintains seventh position with 13-17 record. Shiga L-Stars at the other side keep the fourth place with ten games lost. They share the position with Fukuoka Rizing. Miyazaki Shining Suns will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Shiga L-Stars will play at home against Osaka Evessa (#3) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
