Regular Season Round 16: Ironi Ramat Gan - Lev Hasharon 88-68

We could consider it a predictable result in the game between close teams when twelfth ranked Ironi Ramat Gan (6-10) smashed at home 11th ranked Lev Hasharon (6-10) 88-68 on Tuesday. The game was mostly controlled by Ironi Ramat Gan. Lev Hasharon was better in third quarter 20-16. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The game was decided in the last minutes when Ironi Ramat Gan won last quarter 32-14. Ironi Ramat Gan outrebounded Lev Hasharon 41-30 including 29 on the defensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of swingman Yariv Yatzkan (199-75, agency: Avi Zilberman) who helped to win the game recording 22 points and 5 rebounds and American forward Rodney Webb (200-83, college: Florida Atlantic) who added 14 points and 12 rebounds during the contest. Four Ironi Ramat Gan players scored in double figures. At the losing side naturalized Russian power forward Anton Kazarnovski (205-85) responded with 15 points and 8 rebounds and American guard Lewis Clinch (191-87, college: Georgia Tech) scored 21 points. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Ironi Ramat Gan moved-up to tenth place, which they share with Lev Hasharon and Elitzur Ramla. Ironi Ramat Gan will face higher ranked Ironi Nahariya (#9) at home in the next round and it may be quite challenging game.
