Seventh ranked Fujian SBS XunXin won a double-overtime thriller edging one of their biggest challengers Zhejiang Guangsha Lions by seven points 132-125 on Tuesday night. The game took place in Hangzhou. But the guests from Jinjiang were better at the end. The guests trailed by 3 points after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 2-point lead at the halftime then Zhejiang Guangsha Lions managed to tie the game at the end of regular time. However that was Fujian SBS XunXin who were better in double-overtime eventually winning that period 7-7. They made 20-of-26 free shots (76.9 percent) during the game. Fujian SBS XunXin outrebounded Zhejiang Guangsha Lions 60-49 including 46 on the defensive glass. Worth to mention a great performance of Jordanian forward Zaid Abbas (203-83) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 25 points, 24 rebounds, 4 assists and 8 steals and American center Will McDonald (211-79, college: S.Florida) who added 33 points (!!!) and 11 rebounds during the contest. Fujian SBS XunXin's coach Joseph Stiebing used an eleven-player rotation in such tough game. At the losing side American forward Wilson Chandler (203-87, college: De Paul) responded with a double-double by scoring 36 points (!!!), 21 rebounds and 6 assists and American-Puerto Rican center Peter John Ramos (222-85) produced a double-double by scoring 24 points and 15 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Fujian SBS XunXin (15-12) moved-up to fifth place. Zhejiang Guangsha Lions at the other side keep the fourth position with 11 games lost. Fujian SBS XunXin will face Jilin Tigers (#12) in Changchun in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Zhejiang Guangsha Lions will play on the road against Xinjiang Flying Tige (#10) in Urumqi.
