Important game to mention about took place in Halifax, NS. Fourth ranked Axemen (8-4) saved a 1-point victory on the road edging 6th ranked Huskies (6-8) 76-75 on Wednesday evening. The guests were tied after three quarters but managed to speed up in last quarter eventually winning the game. Axemen forced 19 Huskies turnovers. Worth to mention a great performance of international forward Owen Klassen (208-91) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 16 points, 13 rebounds and 4 blocks and guard Anthony Sears (193) who added 22 points during the contest. The best for the losing side was forward Tory Fassett with a double-double by scoring 28 points, 11 rebounds and 5 assists and Brian Rouse produced a double-double by scoring 10 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists. Five Axemen and four Huskies players scored in double figures. Axemen have an impressive five-game winning streak. They moved-up to third place. Huskies at the other side keep the sixth position with eight games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
