Regular Season Round 28: Guangdong ST - Liaoning H. 122-108

No shocking result in a game in Dongguan where first ranked Guandong Tigers (23-4) won against 6th ranked Liaoning Hunters (14-12) 122-108 on Wednesday. Guandong Tigers made 21-of-27 free shots (77.8 percent) during the game. They also forced 20 Liaoning Hunters turnovers. Guandong Tigers looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of American forward James Singleton (203-81, college: Murray St.) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 28 points and 14 rebounds and the other American import point guard Aaron Brooks (183-85, college: Oregon) who added 34 points (!!!) and 5 assists during the contest. At the losing side the former international center Xiaoxu Li (207-90) responded with a double-double by scoring 22 points and 11 rebounds and American forward Rodney Carney (201-84, college: Memphis) scored 26 points. Four Guandong Tigers and five Liaoning Hunters players scored in double figures. Liaoning Hunters' coach rotated ten players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Guandong Tigers have an impressive ten-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 23-4 record. Liaoning Hunters at the other side dropped to the eighth place with 12 games lost. Guandong Tigers will have a break next round. Liaoning Hunters will play on the road against DongGuan Leopards (#3).
