Regular Season Round 19: Tln Kalev - Kalev/Cramo 60-88

Another exciting game was a derby match between two teams from Tallinn: Kalev/Cramo (#2) and Tln Kalev (#6). Tln Kalev was crushed at home by 28 points 60-88 and even the advantage of their own court did not help. The game without a history. Kalev/Cramo led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They shot the lights out from three nailing 12 long-distance shots on high 52.2 percentage. It was an exceptional evening for international guard Gert Dorbek (194-85) who led the winners and scored 16 points and 7 rebounds. International forward Joosep Toome (202-85) accounted for 10 points and 5 rebounds for the winning side. Kalev/Cramo's coach Aivar Kuusmaa felt very confident that he used 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American forward Matt Shaw (203-88, college: UNLV) came up with 21 points and 8 rebounds and the other American import guard Brandis Raley-Ross (188-87, college: S.Carolina) added 16 points respectively for Tln Kalev in the defeat. Kalev/Cramo (13-1) have an impressive series of eight victories in a row. Defending champion maintains second place having five point less than leader Tartu Ulikool. Tln Kalev lost third consecutive game. They keep the sixth position with 14 games lost. Kalev/Cramo will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Tln Kalev will play at home against the league's leader Tartu Ulikool (#1) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
