Regular Season Round 15: Svisloch - Grodno-93 58-72

Leader Grodno-93 delivered the fourteenth victory. This time they beat 5th ranked SBK Osipovichi (5-10) 72-58. It looked good early as SBK Osipovichi took an 3-point lead at the end of first quarter. But then Grodno-93 had a 24-10 second period charge getting the lead and SBK Osipovichi was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 58-72. They outrebounded SBK Osipovichi 40-25 including a 28-15 advantage in defensive rebounds. It was a good game for Ukrainian center Vadim Matyukevych (208-80) who led his team to a victory with 16 points and 8 rebounds. The former international forward Kanstantin Yafremov (202-86) contributed with 13 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Four Grodno-93 players scored in double figures. The former international center Yury Mishukov (205-85) answered with 14 points and 5 rebounds and guard Ilya Sharipov (197-91) added 7 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists in the effort for SBK Osipovichi. Grodno-93 (14-1) have an impressive series of twelve victories in a row. They maintain first place. SBK Osipovichi at the other side dropped to the sixth position with ten games lost. Grodno-93 will play against league's second-placed Minsk-2006 on the road in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. SBK Osipovichi will have a break next round.
