The game between closely ranked teams ended with 6th ranked LrNMKY's (11-16) road loss to fifth ranked Torpan Pojat (14-13) 72-80. LrNMKY was tied at the half but could not keep up in last two quarters eventually losing the game. Strangely LrNMKY outrebounded Torpan Pojat 47-27 including a 19-5 advantage in offensive rebounds. LrNMKY was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. Forward Timo Heinonen (198-81) notched 30 points to lead the effort and American point guard Josh Wilson (188-87, college: N.Arizona, agency: Hightower Law Firm) supported him with 17 points. Wilson is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Even 19 points, 9 rebounds and 9 assists by American guard DeAndre Haynes (187-84, college: Kent St., agency: Court Side) did not help to save the game for LrNMKY. His fellow American import forward Lawrence Hamm (198-84, college: Towson, agency: Court Side) added 15 points and 11 rebounds. Four LrNMKY players scored in double figures. Torpan Pojat maintains fifth position with 14-13 record. LrNMKY lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the seventh place with 16 games lost. Torpan Pojat will play against Kouvot (#9) in Kouvola in the next round. LrNMKY will play at home against Tampereen Pyrinto and hopes to get back on the winning track.
