Regular Season Round 29: DongGuan L. - Liaoning H. 107-94

No shocking result in a game when third ranked DongGuan Leopards (18-10) defeated at home 8th ranked Liaoning Hunters (14-13) 107-94 on Friday. The game without a history. DongGuan Leopards led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They made 21-of-26 free shots (80.8 percent) during the game. The best player for the winners was American forward Shavlik Randolph (208-83, college: Duke) who had a double-double by scoring 35 points (!!!) and 16 rebounds. Nigerian-American guard Josh-Emmanuel Akognon (180-86, college: CS Fullerton) chipped in a double-double by scoring 27 points, 10 rebounds and 6 assists. DongGuan Leopards' coach Brian Goorjian used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The former international center Xiaoxu Li (207-90) produced a double-double by scoring 22 points and 19 rebounds and American forward Rodney Carney (201-84, college: Memphis) added 25 points and 5 rebounds respectively for the guests. Four Liaoning Hunters players scored in double figures. DongGuan Leopards maintains third place with 18-10 record having four points less than leader Guandong ST. Liaoning Hunters lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the ninth position with 13 games lost. They share it with Shanghai S.. DongGuan Leopards are looking forward to face league's leader Guandong Tigers in Dongguan in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Liaoning Hunters will play on the road against Fujian SBS XunXin (#4) in Jinjiang and are hoping to prove to their supporters that they can break losing series.
