An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in Belfast. First ranked DCU Saints faced 4th ranked Belfast Star. Guests from Dublin (15-2) smashed host Belfast Star (1-14) 82-63. They outrebounded Belfast Star 60-30 including a 15-2 advantage in offensive rebounds. DCU Saints looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists comparing to just 3 passes made by Belfast Star's players. Worth to mention a great performance of guard Keith Anderson (188-89) who helped to win the game recording 26 points and 5 rebounds and American center Michael Trimmer (204-67, college: Wooster) who added 20 points and 11 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) during the contest. Five DCU Saints players scored in double figures. At the losing side American forward Joshua Johnson (199-85, college: Bowie St.) responded with a double-double by scoring 24 points and 14 rebounds and naturalized British guard Stephen Dawson (190-80) scored 16 points. DCU Saints have an impressive eight-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 15-2 record. Belfast Star lost fifth consecutive game. They keep the fourth place with 14 games lost. DCU Saints will meet league's leader UCC Demons in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Belfast Star will play against the league's second-placed 11890 Killester in Dublin and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
