PLK top team - Trefl Sopot (18-5) added another victory to their record. This time they beat eighth ranked AZS Koszalin (10-13) 84-76. It looked good early as AZS Koszalin took an 12-point lead at the end of first quarter. But then Trefl Sopot took control and eventually winning the game that evening by 8 points. International guard Lukasz Wisniewski (186-84, college: Barton County CC) nailed 18 points and 6 rebounds for the winning side and the former international guard Lukasz Koszarek (187-84) accounted for 20 points. Four Trefl Sopot players scored in double figures. The former international center Rafal Bigus (215-76, college: Villanova) came up with 19 points and 9 rebounds and naturalized Croatian guard Igor Milicic (194-76, agency: Alti Sport) added 18 points and 5 assists respectively for AZS Koszalin in the defeat. Trefl Sopot have an impressive series of five victories in a row. They maintain first place with 18-5 record. AZS Koszalin at the other side keeps the eighth position with 13 games lost. They share it with Siarka Jezioro. Trefl Sopot will play against Siarka Jezioro (#9) in Tarnobrzeg in the next round and are hoping to win another game. AZS Koszalin will play at home against Energa Czarni in Slupsk and hopes to get back on the winning track.
