Everything went according to plan when fourth ranked Tur Bielsk Pdl. (10-6) defeated 6th ranked Staco MNLK (8-9) in Niepolomice 81-71 on Saturday. The guests trailed by 4 points after three quarters before their 19-5 charge, which allowed them to win the game. Tur Bielsk Pdl. dominated on the defensive end, holding Staco MNLK to just 5 points in fourth quarter. They made 26-of-29 free shots (89.7 percent) during the game, while Staco MNLK only scored nine points from the stripe. Tur Bielsk Pdl. forced 24 Staco MNLK turnovers. It was a good game for forward Arkadiusz Zabielski (195-84) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 19 points, 12 rebounds and 4 assists. Forward Lukasz Kuczynski (194-85) contributed with 19 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Tur Bielsk Pdl.'s coach Andrej Sinielnikow allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. They moved-up to third place in Group C, which they share with Handlopex AZS. Loser Staco MNLK dropped to the seventh position with nine games lost. Tur Bielsk Pdl. will face Pulaski Warka (#12) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Staco MNLK will play against MKS Limbach (#5) in Limanowa and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
