An interesting game was also surprising road defeat of 5th ranked MKS Limbach in a game versus Novum Lublin (#8) 87-82. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But MKS Limbach won fourth quarter 25-21. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Novum Lublin forced 19 MKS Limbach turnovers and outrebounded them 36-23 including 25 on the defensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Novum Lublin made 9 blocks. Swingman Jakub Karolak (192-93) notched 24 points and 7 rebounds to lead the effort and center Patryk Bajtus (206-91) supported him with 23 points and 5 rebounds. Four Novum Lublin players scored in double figures. Novum Lublin's coach Piotr Karolak used an eleven-player rotation in such tough game. Even 28 points and 5 steals by swingman Andrzej Peciak (195-78) did not help to save the game for MKS Limbach. Guard Jakub Dudek (190-84) added 14 points, 7 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals. Novum Lublin (8-9) moved-up to seventh place in Group C, which they share with Wisla AWF Kr. and Staco MNLK. Loser MKS Limbach keeps the fifth position with seven games lost. Novum Lublin will meet Rosa II Radom (#11) on the road in the next round. MKS Limbach will play against Staco MNLK (#9) in Niepolomice and hope to secure a win.
