The game in Nagano was also quite interesting. Second ranked Akita Happinets (18-11) played at the court of 8th ranked Shinshu BW (11-18). Akita Happinets managed to secure a 7-point victory 80-73 on Saturday. The guests trailed by 3 points at the halftime before their 52-42 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. Akita Happinets forced 20 Shinshu BW turnovers. Shinshu BW was plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. The game was also dominated by American players. The best player for the winners was swingman Ricky Woods (194-84, college: SE Louisiana) who had a double-double by scoring 20 points, 12 rebounds, 6 assists and 4 steals. Akita Happinets maintains second place with 18-11 record having just -1 point less than leader Okinawa GK, which they share with Fukuoka Rizing and Shiga L-Stars. Shinshu BW lost their fifth game in a row. They keep the eighth position with 18 games lost. Akita Happinets will have a break next round. Shinshu BW will play again at home against the league's second-placed Akita Happinets (#2).
