Twelfth-ranked Pulaski Warka (4-13) used its home court advantage to challenge third ranked Handlopex AZS (10-6) on Saturday. The visitors from Rzeszow managed to secure only four-point victory 82-78. However their fans expected much easier game. Pulaski Warka was tied after three quarters and then recorded another tie at the end of regular time. They were eventually defeated in overtime 8-12s. Handlopex AZS forced 31 Pulaski Warka turnovers. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Handlopex AZS made 10 blocks. It was a good game for forward Piotr Ucinek (196-80) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 32 points and 11 rebounds. Guard Pawel Adamczyk (186-84) replied with 22 points, 7 rebounds, 5 assists and 5 steals (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) and guard Rafal Sobilo (188-89) added 23 points and 5 assists in the effort for Pulaski Warka. Pulaski Warka's coach Marek Brzeznicki gave the chance to play for ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Handlopex AZS maintains third position in Group C with 10-6 record having eight points less than leader Open Florentyna, which they share with Tur Bielsk Pdl. Newly promoted Pulaski Warka keeps the twelfth place with 13 games lost. Handlopex AZS will face AZS II Polit.W-wa (#13) in Warszawa in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Pulaski Warka will play on the road against Tur Bielsk Pdl. in Bielsk Podlaski.
