Regular Season Round 26: Winnipeg - Saskatchewan 74-95

Date: February 4, 2012
Everything went according to plan in Winnipeg, MB where first ranked Huskies (13-4) outscored 8th ranked Wesmen (4-14) 95-74 on Saturday. The game without a history. Huskies led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Huskies outrebounded Wesmen 47-26 including a 33-17 advantage in defensive rebounds. American point guard Jamelle Barrett (180) scored 25 points and 6 assists to lead the charge for the winners and international forward Michael Lieffers (203-87) chipped in 12 points and 13 rebounds during the contest. Forward Mark McNee (198) responded with 24 points and 8 rebounds and guard Andrew Cunningham (186, college: Redlands CC) scored 10 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. Huskies have an impressive seven-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 13-4 record. Wesmen lost fifth consecutive game. They keep the eighth place with 14 games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
