Bottom-ranked Plasencia Extremadura managed to get a third victory, breaking the series of three consecutive loses on Saturday night. This time they won against twelfth-ranked Tenerife 75-57. It's especially surprising that the victory came too easily and 18-point difference suggests that Plasencia Extremadura is in a good shape to leave the bottom place. The game was mostly controlled by Plasencia Extremadura. Tenerife managed to win third quarter 15-14. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Plasencia Extremadura forced 22 Tenerife turnovers. It was an exceptional evening for center Miguel Conejero (205-82) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 12 points and 14 rebounds. Plasencia Extremadura (3-11) moved-up to twelfth place, which they share with defeated Tenerife. Tenerife lost sixth consecutive game. Plasencia Extremadura will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Tenerife will play against Leyma Basquet (#3) where they are definitely not considered as a favorite in this game either.
