There was no surprise when 11th ranked Rosa II Radom (5-11) lost to ninth ranked Wisla AWF Kr. (8-9) in Krakow 53-64 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by Wisla AWF Kr.. Rosa II Radom was better in fourth quarter 18-11. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Wisla AWF Kr. forced 23 Rosa II Radom turnovers and outrebounded them 40-27 including 25 on the defensive glass. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Wisla AWF Kr. made 14 blocks. It was a good game for forward Mateusz Piech (196-90) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 11 rebounds. Guard Jakub Dwernicki (180-86) contributed with 13 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners. Konrad Mamcarczyk (-94) replied with 14 points and the former international forward Pawel Wiekiera (206-78) added 7 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Rosa II Radom. Rosa II Radom's coach Karol Gutkowski gave the chance to play for eleven players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Wisla AWF Kr. moved-up to seventh place in Group C, which they share with Staco MNLK and Novum Lublin. Newly promoted Rosa II Radom keeps the eleventh position with 11 games lost. Wisla AWF Kr. will face league's leader PWiK Piaseczno on the road in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Rosa II Radom will play against Novum Lublin (#7).
