Very expected game when 12th ranked Real Celta Vigo (4-13) was defeated at home by seventh ranked Gran Canaria (9-8) 77-61. The game was mostly controlled by Gran Canaria. Real Celta Vigo was better in third quarter 15-11. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. American D'andra Moss (178-88, college: VCU) nailed 27 points and 7 rebounds for the winning side and Senegalese center Astou Ndour (196-94) accounted for 14 points and 6 rebounds. Brazilian center Damiris Dantas (192-92) came up with 18 points and point guard Marina Delgado (171-92) added 15 points (was perfect 7-for-7 from the free throw line) respectively for Real Celta Vigo in the defeat. Gran Canaria maintains seventh place with 9-8 record, which they share with Cadi la Seu. Real Celta Vigo lost their third game in a row. They dropped to the eleventh position with 13 games lost. They share it with Hondar.-Irun. Gran Canaria will play against league's leader Ros Casares in Valencia in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Real Celta Vigo will play on the road against Arranz-Jopisa Burgos (#9) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
