Everything went according to plan in Soller where sixth ranked Joventud Mariana (10-7) beat 9th ranked Cajarural (5-12) 72-55. Cajarural was tied at the half but could not keep up in last two quarters eventually losing the game. Joventud Mariana forced 26 Cajarural turnovers. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 21 assists. Senegalese power forward Astou Traore (182-81, agency: Josep and Nicolas) nailed a double-double by scoring 17 points and 16 rebounds for the winning side and guard Gabriela Ocete (170-88) accounted for 14 points and 12 assists. American forward Bernice Mosby (186-84, college: Baylor) came up with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 11 rebounds and forward Mariona Ortiz (183-92) added 11 points and 4 assists respectively for Cajarural in the defeat. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Joventud Mariana maintains sixth place with 10-7 record. Newly promoted Cajarural keeps the ninth position with 12 games lost. They share it with Burgos. Joventud Mariana will play against bottom-ranked Ibiza (#14) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game.
