Regular Season Round 33: Toyama Grouses - Oita H.Devils 86-73

No shocking result in a game when sixth ranked Toyama Grouses (14-13) defeated at home 8th ranked Oita Heat Devils (8-20) 86-73 on Saturday. It was a very close game until the last quarter, when Toyama Grouses's pressure prevailed and they won that period 33-26 extending their advantage to 13 points. Toyama Grouses outrebounded Oita Heat Devils 48-33 including 17 on the offensive glass. The game was also dominated by American players. The best player for the winners was swingman Brian Harper (206-85, college: Paine, agency: Pro One Sports) who had a double-double by scoring 29 points, 13 rebounds and 5 assists. Power forward Devin Searcy (208-89, college: Dayton, agency: Pro One Sports) chipped in a double-double by scoring 17 points and 13 rebounds. Five Toyama Grouses players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was forward T.J. Cummings (205-81, college: UCLA) who recorded 27 points and 7 rebounds and guard Wendell White (198-84, college: UNLV) added 15 points and 9 rebounds respectively. Toyama Grouses moved-up to fourth place. Loser Oita Heat Devils keep the eighth position with 20 games lost. Toyama Grouses will face again Oita Heat Devils (#8) at home in the next round.
