Regular Season Round 21: Rosa Radom - MKS DG 77-73

The game between third ranked MMKS Dabrowa Gornicza (13-7) and seventh ranked Rosa Radom (12-8) was the most important one in the last round on Saturday night. MMKS Dabrowa Gornicza was defeated by Rosa Radom in a tough game in Radom 73-77. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But MMKS Dabrowa Gornicza won third quarter 22-14. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The game was decided in the last minutes when Rosa Radom won last quarter 19-16. It was a good game for guard Piotr Kardas (182-78) who led his team to a victory with 14 points, 6 rebounds, 7 assists and 4 steals. Guard Jakub Zalewski (183-86) contributed with 18 points for the winners. Four Rosa Radom players scored in double figures. Center Piotr Zielinski (198-83) answered with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 12 rebounds and point guard Lukasz Szczypka (185-80) added 20 points (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) in the effort for MMKS Dabrowa Gornicza. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Rosa Radom moved-up to sixth place, which they share with AZS Kutno. MMKS Dabrowa Gornicza at the other side keeps the third position with seven games lost. Rosa Radom is looking forward to face MKS Znicz Basket (#8) in Pruszkow in the next round. MMKS Dabrowa Gornicza will play at home against Sudety (#15) in Jelenia Gora and is hoping to win this game.
